Object name Chair

Description "Martha Washington" open armchair is upholstered in a pale silky green damask with a pattern of roses, wreaths and birds. The chair is mahogany with Sheraton-style turned and reeded front legs. There are no stretchers and the back legs are straight and plain. The arms are open and unupholstered. The front of the arm is cut away and curves back and up to meet the top flat section. Fragment of label reads "Mrs. Gideon Granger/Canandaigua"
