Description
|
Six-light brass (ormolu) chandelier, intricately cast with allegorical figures, now electrified, and installed in the Library. A matching chandelier is in storage. The identical fixtures were in the North & South Parlors.
An article in the Ontario Messenger* states that people were invited to the Homestead on 30 January 1854 to see the chandeliers lit and that it was an impressive sight.
