Description: Oil painting in an ornate gilded frame of Francis Granger as an older man. He is wearing a black coat and tie against a dark background. It is signed and dated on the back of the frame in pencil. Because Francis died in 1868, this portrait was probably done from a photograph. Painting given or bequeathed to the Memorial Art Gallery in 1926 and 1930 by Antoinette Pierson Granger to be left at the Granger Homestead. (From 1946 correspondence GHS/MAG)
