2011 Granger Homestead Festival of Trees

The Granger Homestead Festival of Trees will mark its 17th annual production this year! We are celebrating by adding another week in December for folks to enjoy the show, AND we will wrap it up with a Gala Finale Party on December 10th.

We would like to invite you to be a part of this festival by designing and displaying a holiday tree, wreath, basket, handmade jewelry or other home decoration. Your item may be loaned to us to display throughout the festival or you may donate it to us for the silent auction, which runs throughout the event.

With over one-hundred items displayed each year, the Granger Homestead is a holiday wonderland. Visitors from all over the region will come to the Festival of Trees during its run from November 11th through December 10th to get into the holiday spirit by walking through the festively decorated rooms of the Granger Mansion.

There is no entry fee for exhibitors. You may participate as an individual, a family, with friends, as an organization or a business. Student groups are encouraged to enter. Decorations can be traditional or carry a theme. The possibilities for creativity are endless and participants find decorating the Homestead a great deal of fun.

Decoration Details:

• Trees can be of any size, natural or artificial. A decorated tree may be loaned to us for the duration of the festival or donated to our silent auction at the end of the festival. We have a small number of artificial trees that you can set up and decorate here.
• Holiday fabric items such as tree skirts and wall hangings may be loaned or donated
• Wreaths, mantels, holiday baskets and tabletop decorations must be donated
• Due to space limitations, hanging displays will be assigned on a first come-first served basis, and can be loaned or donated
• NEW CATEGORY THIS YEAR… HOLIDAY JEWELRY! Hand crafted jewelry entries will be displayed in a locked glass case and may be loaned for the duration of the show or donated to the silent auction. The Festival of Trees is a wonderful way for the whole community to kick off the holiday season. Once again this year the festival will run during the Canandaigua Christkindl Market guaranteeing high visibility for your display. We hope you will join us!
