Travel back in time as one of our knowledgeable docents leads you through the Granger Homestead and Carriage Museum.  Listen to stories of the four generations of Grangers, who lived in this magnificent home from 1816-1930.

Women's Council Spring Luncheon

The Women's Council Spring Luncheon will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Canandaigua Country Club, 3280 Fallbrook Park. Registration is at 11:30 followed by the luncheon at noon. The program is by Nancy Schopf, doing floral arrangements with spring flowers prior to Mother's Day and Nancy will be auctioning off some of the arrangements. "Plain and Fancy" 11th Annual Spring Lawn Sale

Saturday, May 25, 2013, 9am - 2pm. Plans include a bake sale and an antique and collectibles sale, proceeds from which go to Women's Council. There is an opportunity for members and interested people to rent a space for $20 to sell their garage sale items or collectibles at this event. Anyone interested in a $20 spot should call The Granger Homestead at 585-394-1472. We are in need of more donations for our sale such as: antiques, collectibles, tables, chairs & household accessories. Bring donations to the Granger Homestead prior to May 20 so that we have time to mark the items.

 

Women's Council Dues

We are pleased to say that we had 94 dues-paying members last year. The fiscal year for Women's Council of the Granger Homestead runs May 1, 2013 to April 30, 2014. The dues help to pay for our speakers and other expenses. This will be the only reminder concerning dues in the Gideon's Trumpet this year. The dues remain $5 (see form below). A list of dues-paid members will be printed in the next Gideon's Trumpet.

 

August Day Trip

Plans have been made to see "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" on Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Merry-Go-Round Theater in Auburn with lunch at the Springside Inn. The cost of the fun-filled day is $90, including lunch and gratuity. We will leave the Granger at 10am and return by 6:15pm. If you can join us, please complete the reservation form below. Fall Luncheon

Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the Granger Homestead, catered by Ann Stevenson "Touch of Class". The program is by Preston Pierce discussing the Granger Homestead and what was happening in the area and in the U.S. at the time the Granger family was moving into Canandaigua in 1816.
