Women's Council Fall Luncheon

The Women’s Council Fall Luncheon will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the Granger Homestead, 295 North Main St., Canandaigua, N.Y. Registration is at 11:30 followed by the luncheon at noon. The program is by Mark Evans who will talk about the most photographed First Lady to date, Frances Folsom Cleveland, Grover Cleveland’s wife. Mark Evans will display many items from his vast collection of Frances Cleveland, which he is hoping will be preserved in a museum.

This is a wonderful opportunity to hear about Mrs. Cleveland and to learn how her picture was used to sell a wide variety of things from perfume to farm equipment. Mark has been studying and collecting her memorabilia for many years. I have seen and heard his program about the First Lady and would recommend it highly.
