Home to four generations of the Granger Family, the Granger Homestead and Carriage Museum occupy a scenic 10-acre site on North Main Street, just a few blocks from downtown Canandaigua, New York, about 20 miles southeast of Rochester. 15,000 visitors come to the Homestead annually.
Open May 19 - October 23, 2009, Tuesday and Wednesday 1 - 5 pm, Thursday and Friday 11 am - 5 pm. Weekends June - October 23, 1 - 5 pm. Last complete tour begins at 3 pm. CLOSED ON MONDAYS.
Guided tours are available Tuesday and Wednesday 1 - 4 pm, Thursday and Friday 11am - 4pm and weekends 1-4 pm June through October. Tours also available for groups year round by appointment. Group rates apply
The gift shop is open during all regular hours. Visitors can expect that a complete tour of both the mansion and carriage museum will take approximately two hours.
Admission: $6 Adults, $5 Seniors, $2 Students, Preschoolers Free
Volunteers contribute over $36,000 a year in time. This figure represents what we would spend if we had to hire people to do this work.
