Granger Homestead

This popular past time activity will be offered every Sunday afternoon 1pm to 3pm, weather permitting, on the grounds of the Granger Homestead, 295 North Main Street, Canandaigua. The Sleigh Ride season usually begins about mid-January and continues until mid-March providing Mother Nature gives us snow and frozen ground.

Experience the fun of days gone by as you dash across the snow covered grounds and woods of the historic 1816 mansion and home to four generations of Granger family. Our horses will amuse and amaze you, as they pull the Homesteads’ fully restored antique sleighs. Sleigh bells ring, as you listen to the laughter, all bundled up in a warm lap blanket. We offer hot chocolate following your adventure.
