Period Tea Parties at the Granger Homestead

For Children 6 years to 11 years

Minimum Number: 8

Maximum Number: 12

Cost:  Base of $20.00 per hour, staff time.  Additional charge of $24 per child.  Your cost includes the use of beautiful hats, dresses, and accessories provided by the Granger Homestead.  As tea time arrives, the menu is served on lovely table linens with silver tea service and china cups.

Menu to include:

Traditional scones and biscuits

Shaped strawberry butter pats

Cut-out tea sandwiches

Lady Bugs on a Log (Celery with cream cheese and maraschino cherries)

Teapot sugar cookies

Tea or alternative beverage (pink lemonade or sparkling grape juice)

Decorated sugar cubes

Note: If you are celebrating a birthday, you are invited to provide a cake.

Also Included:

Photo in costume

Calling cards

Guest-created party favors:  tussie mussie, potpourri sachet, or other period craft

A short talk on Victorian tea time, the history of calling cards or the language of flowers
